יוסי מרש

A few words about my whereabouts – after Kurs Ktzinim I was sent back to Gdud 403. My first mission was a Katak on Tel Shams, overlooking Damascus, and with a lot of action all around. The Magad of Gdud 890 was killed by an artillery shell when I was there. After about a year with 403 I was sent to Shivta and instructed Kasamim in Anaf Imun Yechidot (funny writing all these Hebrew terms in English but unfortunately I don’t have Hebrew fonts on my computer). In Miluim I was the Kana of a Gdud Ro’em and was also heading a training course for new recruiters on the Ro’ems for many years (until they got rid of them). In the last couple of years I served as an officer in the Mafsa.

In my personal life - I graduated as an Electronic Engineer (together in the same class with Eyal Israeli), I joined Rafael and later obtained my Master’s degree. After many years with Rafael I decided to start my own company, and five years later I sold it to an American corporation. As part of the deal I relocated my family to the US and I am here since. Ten years ago I decided to move on and started a new company, Phoenix Audio Technologies, which develops, manufactures, and sells audio solutions to the video conferencing and telephony markets. The company is located in Southern California, with the R&D in Israel (Kibuts Usha).

I have a daughter who just got married a couple of months ago and lives in Los Angeles, and a son who is working with me as the COO. I have many photos that I’ll be happy to share with you, as soon as I have the time to look for them, including photos from a trip some of us took to the Haritun Cave (I remember Ami was there and also Yoni Shaked with his girlfriend).
